Cloud migration and operations
GrowGenius moves organizations to AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud — either lift-and-shift or a cloud-native redesign — and keeps running them afterwards. Engagements cover multi-cloud architecture, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps pipelines and FinOps cost governance, so the environment is production-grade from day one rather than after the first incident.
What does a cloud migration engagement cover?
- Multi-cloud strategy and architecture design
- Migration and modernization of existing workloads
- Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CDK
- DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline automation
- FinOps — cloud cost governance after go-live
Lift-and-shift or rebuild cloud-native?
Lift-and-shift moves a workload as it is. It is faster, lower risk, and appropriate when the driver is exiting a data centre on a deadline — but it carries the old architecture's costs with it.
A cloud-native redesign costs more up front and pays back through elasticity and lower running cost. In most portfolios the right answer is a mix decided per workload, not one policy applied to everything.
What happens to cloud costs after migration?
They usually rise before they fall. Cloud makes provisioning easy, so without governance the bill grows quietly — which is why FinOps is part of the service rather than an afterthought.
Cost governance means attributing spend to the teams that cause it, right-sizing against real usage, and setting the commitment and scaling decisions deliberately instead of leaving defaults in place.
How does the architecture stay secure?
Security is built into the layers rather than added at the edge: CDN and WAF/DDoS protection at the front, IAM and secrets management throughout, and CI/CD pipelines that carry security checks (DevSecOps) instead of leaving them to a review at the end.
