Course 01

Claude Basic / Co-work — Claude AI training for every department

Claude Basic / Co-work is a one-day (6–7 hour) in-house course for staff at any level and in any department, with no IT or programming background required. It takes people from their first prompt to using Claude on their real daily work — email, reports and summaries — and finishes with an introduction to AI policy and data privacy so they know where the limits are.

Duration1 day (6–7 hours)

What does the course cover?

  1. Getting to know Claude AI — overview and capabilities
  2. Prompt engineering fundamentals
  3. Claude for everyday work — email, reports, summaries
  4. Claude Co-work — Projects and Custom Instructions
  5. Workshop, plus an introduction to AI policy and data privacy

Who is this course for?

Staff in every department and at every level who want to work smarter with AI. It assumes no technical background at all — the participants who get the most from it are usually the ones doing high-volume writing, reporting and correspondence, not the technical teams.

If your audience is analysts working with data, Claude Code: Data Analysis is the better fit. If they are developers, see Claude Code: Web / App Development.

What can participants do afterwards?

  • Write prompts that get a usable answer the first time instead of after five attempts
  • Use Claude for drafting, summarising and reworking their own documents
  • Set up a Claude Project with Custom Instructions for a recurring task
  • Recognise which information must not be put into an AI tool

Why does the course end with AI policy?

Because the risk in AI adoption at this level is not that people use it badly — it is that they paste something into it that should never have left the organization. Ending on policy and data privacy puts that boundary in place while the tool is still new to them.

For organizations that want the boundary written down properly rather than explained in a session, that is the AI security and governance service.
